The WALDECK Peterborough Phantoms are delighted to announce that Sue Ryder, Thorpe Hall Hospice has been chosen as our charity of the year for the third year running!
After the vote in which we ran earlier in the season, Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice came out on top with an amazing 52% of all votes!
We are thrilled to also reveal our 24/25 season charity home game will be held on Sunday 29th December vs MK Lightning! For this game, the team will be sporting their new Sue Ryder jerseys, with 100% of all profits going to Thorpe Hall.
Asif Shaheed, Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder, Thorpe Hall commented: “We are thrilled that supporters of The Waldeck Peterborough Phantoms have chosen us as their charity of the year for the third time! Sue Ryder relies heavily on the support of our local community and the team's continued backing in raising vital funds, and awareness, will help us ensure that everyone approaching the end of life or living with grief can access the support they need. We look forward to joining the Phantoms this season cheering them on 'rink side'."
Emily Woods, Phantoms Head of Marketing and Commercial commented: “This year we decided to put the power in the hands of our fans for our charity of the year, and unsurprisingly Sue Ryder was chosen! This will be our third season supporting this amazing charity, and we can’t wait for you all to see the jerseys.”
The Sue Ryder 2024/25 charity jerseys will be launching on December 1st!
