The WALDECK Peterborough Phantoms are thrilled to announce the three prospect players for the 2024/25 season!

Matthew Saville, Nicholas Martin and AJ Herring will join the Phantoms roster for the 24/25 season on prospect contracts, training with the first team throughout the season and gaining game time as they develop in to senior hockey.

17-year-old defenceman, Mathew Saville will be back on the Phantoms roster following his impressive debut during the 23/24 season. Mathew has come up through the junior system in Peterborough and we are delighted to be able to support him as he progresses into senior hockey.

17-year-old Nicholas Martin will be joining the team from the Nottingham Lions U18’s where he’s played for the last 2 seasons, making appearances for both Lions NIHL2 and Lions NIHL1.

15-year-old, Aidan-Jay Herring is the youngest of the prospects for the 24/25 season. He will be joining the team after coming up through the junior ranks in Peterborough.

Jon Kynaston, Head of Phantoms juniors commented : “Mathew is progressing well and his coach-ability gives him a good foundation to grow from, he is a local lad who is really invested both in his hockey and our club.

Nicholas is a player who has again spent time in our academy, he is has good size, good shot and skates well, it will be exciting to see Nicholas bring these attributes to the National League.

AJ is a younger player that is already showing his potential, another local player who, along with his family, has close ties to the club, AJ is a gifted and hard working player that has high potential.”

Saville and Martin’s jersey are available for own and loan, please email emily@peterboroughphantoms.co.uk for more information
