The Peterborough Phantoms have today announced a second set of Pre-Season games, ahead of their 2022/23 Planet Ice NIHL National Division campaign.
The Phantoms will travel to face the Milton Keynes Lightning on Saturday 10th September, before hosting the Lightning in Peterborough on Sunday 11th September.
Both the Phantoms and the Lightning made it to the Coventry Finals Weekend last season, with the Lightning defeating the Phantoms in the Semi-Final before losing to Sheffield Steeldogs in the final. Since then they have seen a change of leadership with Tim Wallace becoming Head Coach.

Phantoms Coach Slava Koulikov knows these will be two tough games: “Milton Keynes are always a good team and you know they are going to finish in the top half of the league each year. These are the type of games we need pre-season to get ourselves ready for the new league campaign.
“Last season Lighting beat us in our 3 league games in their barn by just 1 or 2 goals. When they travelled to Peterborough we beat them each time by 3-5 goals, so both sets of fans know these are going to be entertaining batttles.
“Tim (Wallace) is a good coach and will be building a solid team, and we look forward to facing off against them in September.”
Face Off times for both games will be confirmed in the coming weeks, and the League Fixtures are likely to be released in the next 10 days. Supporters wishing to purchase Season Tickets can still purchanse them, and spread the payments over 4 months (July – Oct) via the “tickets” menu link above.
