The Waldeck Peterborough Phantoms are pleased to announce that Louie Kynaston has signed his first prospect contract for the 23/24 season.
The 16-year-old will join the 23/24 season Phantoms roster as a prospect whilst also playing for Phantoms U18’s, Phantoms NIHL 2 and Raiders NIHL 1 in order to continue his development. Louie will be wearing the #8 jersey for the Waldeck Peterborough Phantoms in the 23/24 season.
Louie has come up through the junior ranks in Peterborough from U10’s to U18’s and is one of the brightest prospects in English hockey! Last season, Louie captained the Phantoms U16 side scoring 21 goals and putting up 18 assists in just 14 games! He also played 8 games for the Phantoms U18’s where he put up 8 goals and 10 assists!
Head Coach Slava Koulikov commented: “Louie is only 16 and is amongst the countries brightest prospects! He is an exciting young player who loves hockey and works extremely hard on and off the ice to achieve his goals. It is important to keep adding home grown British talent early, to give them time for transition, development and to set the club up for the future at the same time.”
Louie Kynaston had the following to say on the signing of his first prospect contract: “I am really pleased to be given this opportunity. I’ve worked hard to get to this point but understand my hard work really starts now. I am ready to give my all in every game and practice this season, I am here to develop as a player and learn as much as I can, I am really looking forward to the challenge and can’t wait for the new season”
Welcome to the Phantoms Louie!
