The WALDECK Peterborough Phantoms are thrilled to welcome back, #35 Joe Gretton for the 24/25 season!
Fan favourite, Joe Gretton will be back with the Phantoms for his 5th consecutive season in Bretton! Grets first joined the team in the 2019/20 season, and has gone on to become one of the most loved players on the roster with his hard hitting style on the ice, and his bubbly personality off the ice.
Head Coach Slava Koulikov commented : “Very pleased to have Joe with us for the 5th season. Unbelievable person, great team guy and one of the fans favourites!
In the last two seasons, Joe really helped throughout our non-stop injury crisis, as he can play both D & F and sacrificed his own goals for the goals of the team. His selfless actions throughout the long season had a direct effect on us bringing in two more trophies, and I can’t thank him enough for this.
Joe is at his prime age hockey-wise and can play another big part for us this season.”
#35 Joe Gretton had the following to say on his return : “I’m really happy to be back for my 5th year, I love this club and it was an instant yes when Slava asked me to re-sign. I’m so excited for the season ahead, the team is looking really strong and I’m excited to be a part of it and buzzing to see the fellas and the new faces when we get going again. Last seasons ending was so special and I’m looking forward to building on that.
