WELCOME BACK, LEE ELIAS!

WELCOME BACK, LEE ELIAS!

Your Peterborough Phantoms are thrilled to announce the return of Lee Elias as Team Development Coach and Media & Marketing Consultant!

Lee originally worked with the club as the Game Night Operations and Media Manager between 2013-2016 and became an Assistant Coach in 2014/15 – a role he held until the end of the 2016/17 season.

If the past year and a half has proved anything, it’s that you don’t have to physically be in a specific building to do your job and this is something the Phantoms will be utilising with Lee. Lee will be remaining in America (but making a trip over at some point we hope?!) and doing his duties with weekly meetings over Zoom and over the phone.

From a media and marketing perspective, Lee has already had several productive Zoom meetings with ownership and some of the volunteers to begin implementing ways that we can be the best we can be, off the ice.

And the same goes for on it, Lee will be conducting a similar role alongside our coaches with regular meetings and video footage review to give his insight into the team’s systems. Motivational speaking has always been a strong point for Lee and this is something Slava and his staff will also be looking to tap into throughout the season.

Lee said: “Since returning to the United States I’ve been fortunate to expand my work in team building, business and marketing. I’m more than motivated to assist Slava and the team to bring the Phantoms to the championship level standards we’ve built since I first started with the club. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Atlantic Ocean or the M1, nothing is gonna keep me away from this team when needed!”

Head Coach Slava Koulikov, said: “It’s great to have Lee back on board with the Phantoms. We worked really well together when he was living over here in the UK and he has helped us out with a few things since he’s been back in America. I believe he has good qualities that we can add to our coaching staff and he’s also fantastic with social media and marketing and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can produce alongside Tom Lea, Emily Woods and Matt Cavalieri, as our more hands on day to day volunteers!”

We’ll be announcing the rest of Slava’s off-ice coaching team, our match night staff and volunteers all in due course.

Welcome back, Lee Elias!
