REST IN PEACE, RAY WELLS

Everyone at the Peterborough Phantoms are saddened to have heard of the passing of another of our legendary supporters, Ray Wells, after a long battle with illness, just over six months after losing his wife Audrey.

Ray was more than just a fan, he and his wife Audrey always helped out behind the scenes with both involved in the club from the very beginning of their journey as fans of hockey in Peterborough. They went above and beyond to help and this stretched as far as Ray making donations to the Club in the early 2000s.

Sports Clubs around the world are reliant on not only fan attendances, but the help of their fans in other aspects from time to time. Ray and Audrey were both only too willing to do everything they could to ensure the Club could be as successful as it could be, and we’re eternally grateful to Ray, Audrey, and everyone else who have supported our Club down the years and continue to do so.

Our thoughts are with all that knew Ray at this time. A Peterborough Hockey legend.

Rest in peace, Ray Wells.
