Biography
We are delighted to welcome back #27 Rob McDonald for his 8th consecutive and 12th overall season in Phantoms colours.
Rob captained the team in our treble season in 16/17 and has been an instrumental leader since then. He had his most impactful season on the scoreboard last season with 7 goals and 12 assists in 20 games.
Upon signing back, Rob had this to say, “Living in Nottingham and travelling to Peterborough each week makes it tough, but with the team we are looking to put out there this year, I am almost as excited as the 16/17 season. Like Conor said, this team is like a family and I’ve grown with this family in my life for over 10 years now. It’s great to see some names back on the roster that we haven’t seen for a while and as always, see some fantastic juniors coming through the ranks. It’s going to be an exciting year!”
Calm on the puck, with slick stick handling and a cool head, Rob leads by example and can be relied on in all situations, we’re excited about the team this season and Rob will be a big part of it!
