The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are delighted to announce the signing of Joe Hazeldine on a loan deal from the Nottingham Panthers, until the end of the season.

Hazeldine has guested four times for the Phantoms so far this season, scoring once and assisting another.

He’s iced 29 times for the Panthers in the Elite League and recently represented Great Britain U20 in the World Junior Championships in Lithuania.

Head Coach Slava Koulikov was delighted to get the deal done, and said: “I’m very pleased, you don’t tend to get this calibre of player at this time of season and to have him on a full-time basis; he’s definitely going to make our team stronger. He’s a young, talented British defenceman who can play as a forward if needed, he’s hungry and wants to improve and all of those attributes suit our team philosophy, so I’m very pleased to have him with us and look forward to working with him on a regular basis!”

Hazeldine is expected to go straight into the Phantoms squad for tonight’s game against the Hull Pirates.

Welcome, Joe!
