The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms are delighted to announce the return of Corey McEwen for another season!

Corey began his hockey career in Peterborough, icing for the Phantoms’ U16’s and U19’s side before heading to Canada to continue his development. He returned to England in 2015 for a year in Swindon, before icing the following season in Telford.

Corey re-joined the Phantoms organisation ahead of the 2018/19 season and scored 49 points in 38 games in his debut senior season for the club. After a summer playing for and coaching the Botany Swarm in New Zealand, he returned to Peterborough for a second year.

After overcoming an injury in the early stages of the season, Corey ended the year in blistering form, amassing 52 points in 40 games in 2019/20.

And he’s pleased to be returning to the club for another year: “I am happy with my decision to return to Peterborough; it feels special to sign for a third year. I am really looking forward to progressing in my hockey career alongside Slava and my teammates. I believe we will have a strong team next season, competing for all silverware. Our fans are going to enjoy some good ice hockey next season!”

And Slava Koulikov was delighted to see Corey sign for another year in Peterborough: “I am really happy Corey is back with us for a 3rd straight season! Corey is one of the most professional players I have worked with, his attention to detail is contagious and rubs off on the rest of the players, especially our young guys! Corey’s speed and offensive threat is lethal and can change direction of the game at any moment. In the last two seasons he has been involved in scoring & setting up some really crucial goals in big games for our team and played a big part in our historical treble. I also love Corey’s attitude and will to improve to become a complete hockey player. If we compare his last two seasons, his offensive production improved for sure but most importantly, his two-way game and on ice awareness went through the roof. I am looking forward to continuing our working relationship with Corey next season!”

Remember, you can secure your seat to watch Corey and the team in 2020/21 with a Peterborough Phantoms season ticket. Season Ticket Application Forms are available HERE!
