PHANTOMS CLAIM FIRST ROAD WIN OF THE YEAR

Sheffield Steeldogs 1–4 Peterborough Phantoms

The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms claimed their first away win of the season by beating the league leading Sheffield Steeldogs.

Jarvis Hunt got the Phantoms off to the best possible start, shooting past Dimitri Zimozdra with 2:11 played to give the Phantoms the lead.

Glenn Billing doubled the Phantoms advantage moments later, firing in on the powerplay, assisted by James Ferrara and Tom Norton.

Ash Calvert reduced the arrears for the home side, tipping in a Jan Danecek shot to put the Dogs on the board.

Martins Susters extended the lead back to two with a fine solo effort, with 25:52 played.

Petr Stepanek then got in on the act at 31:25, blasting home a slap shot which left Zimozdra with no chance.

The Phantoms killed a number of penalties and stood firm to go into the second intermission 4-1 ahead.

And that was the end of the scoring. Robbie Ferrara and Billing went close for the Phantoms in the third period, whilst Jordan Marr held firm at the other end.
