MATCH REPORT | THIRD GAME IN AS MANY DAYS PROVES TOO MUCH FOR PHANTOMS

Raiders 7-2 Peterborough Phantoms

Three games in three days proved to be too much for the Phantoms who were comfortably beaten by the in-form Raiders.

Phantoms took the lead through Glenn Billing, who redirected Ales Padelek’s blue line slapshot after 10:35.

Jake Sylvester equalised, before Erik Piatak and JJ Pitchley sent the Raiders in with a 3-1 lead at the first interval.

Aaron Connolly and Blaho Novak both struck early in the second period, before Ryan Bainborough was replaced by Jordan Marr in the Phantoms net.

Will Weldon pulled a goal back for the Phantoms after a clever feed by Nathan Pollard from behind the goal.

Piatak netted his second of the night with what will go down as the goal of the game, he went coast to coast and skated by the Phantoms defence before giving Marr no chance with the shot.

Lukas Sladkovsky scored the seventh and final goal after a mistake by Marr allowed Novak to put the chance on a plate for the Czech forward.
