Sheffield Steeldogs 1-4 Peterborough Phantoms
The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms made it ten wins in a row with victory over the Sheffield Steeldogs on Saturday night.
Martins Susters opened the scoring, finishing off a slick move by applying the finishing touch.
Petr Stepanek and Alex Graham tangled just after the goal, with Stepanek taking the victory.
Susters made it 2-0 at 24:07, by tipping in a blue line effort from Callum Buglass, to score on the powerplay.
Will Weldon extended the advantage to three goals, just under two minutes later. The Phantoms #29 got involved in a goal mouth scramble to send the puck beyond Dmitri Zimozdra and into the back of the net.
Former Phantom James Spurr put the Steeldogs on the board with the mid-way point approaching. He took assists from Vladimir Luka and Lewis Bell before applying the finishing touch to a smart move from the Dogs.
That was the end of the scoring until the third period, when Tom Norton put the cherry on the cake for the Phantoms, firing home to ensure Slava Koulikov’s side would extend their winning run to ten.
