Basingstoke Bison 3-1 Peterborough Phantoms

Ales Padelek scored the only Phantoms goal as the Basingstoke Bison claimed both points on Saturday night.

The first real action of the game wasn’t a goal. Tom Norton and Liam Morris dropped the gloves, with the Phantoms man getting the takedown. Norton was given 2+2 for fighting, whilst Morris was given 2+2+2 for his part in the incident.

Adam Harding scored the only goal of the opening period, after taking a pass from Ashley Tait and shooting under Jordan Marr’s arm and into the back of the net.

Ales Padelek levelled the scores just before the mid-way mark, firing home on the powerplay after a set up by James Ferrara.

Bayley Harewood put the Bison back in front with 48:29 on the clock. The youngster took a pass from Harding and, despite Marr getting a touch on it, the puck found its way into the back of the net.

Richard Bordowski sealed the deal for the Bison in the final minute. Tait again involved as he found the import forward in space, allowing him to go in close to Marr and apply the finishing touch.
