The 31 year old began his hockey career in the Fife junior system, before jetting off to develop further in North America. He played for OHA U18 AAA and the Philadelphia Jackals before spending four years with the University of Finlandia, where he also represented the University football team.

He returned to the UK ahead of the 2015/16 season when he signed in Milton Keynes, before icing for the Hull Pirates the following year. He spent the 2017/18 season with his most local Elite League side, the Fife Flyers, before heading back down south of the border for his arrival in Peterborough ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Marrsy’s been a hugely popular figure amongst fans, coaches and teammates since he signed in Peterborough and is about to enter his fourth season with Slava’s side.

Last season, he posted a save percentage of over 90% across 42 games and helped the Phantoms along their playoff run to the NIHL Final Four Weekend at the end of last term.

Slava said: “Marrsy’s a great guy and a great goalie. I’ve always said how important I think it is to have a good goalie and we’ve got one of the best in the league in Jordan. He’s a winner, his attitude and application is exactly what we want and our defence feel comfortable knowing he’s guarding the goal behind them. We’re really pleased he’s staying for a fourth season with the team and I’m looking forward to working with him again from September!”

And Jordan was absolutely delighted to return for a number of reasons: “I’m really happy to be back for the 2nd year of my contract, and my 4th season in Peterborough.

“A huge reason I’ve kept coming back to the Phantoms every year is the great atmosphere created in the dressing room by Slavs and the longer serving members of the team, and of course the support from our fanbase.

“The tough start to last season could have saw a lot of fans turn their backs on the club, but they stood firm and kept believing in the club and I want them to know how much myself and the guys appreciated that.

“I believe with our core group returning and the addition of the new guys we should be a difficult team to play against both home and away . Ideally, by gradually improving individually and as a team as the season goes on, we should be playing for trophies at the crunch time of the season.

“All the teams look to have improved their rosters over the course of the summer and the addition of two teams makes it look like it will be the most competitive NIHL season so far.

“Have a great summer and see you in September!” Marr concluded.
