LONGEST OFF-ICE OFFICIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TONIGHT

LONGEST OFF-ICE OFFICIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TONIGHT

The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms sponsored by Evolve Technologies are delighted to celebrate and acknowledge our longest serving timekeeper and fan of Peterborough Hockey, Irene Amos.

Irene in 1996 became the Pirates Official Scorer, with Irene’s first officiating game was listed as Pirates v Kingston Hawks on 17th August 1996 where Pirates, unfortunately, lost 2-10. In those days Irene would have been kept very busy with on-ice brawls weekly and high scoring games.

As a fan and supervisor to our current Off-Ice Officials, Irene has been dedicated to attending all games (even at short notice), she runs a tight ship in between the benches with Irene being exposed to many brawls and interesting conversations that have been thrown over her head over the many years, I am sure Irene has many stories to tell.

Irene has not only been an Off-Ice Official, dedicated fan but also a Hockey Mum putting back into our development system, with both her son’s at some point playing at a high level in the Peterborough organisation. Please join the Phantoms in acknowledging Irene for her dedication to Peterborough Hockey tonight at our Play-Off Quarter Final game against Milton Keynes Thunder, Face-Off 5.30PM, right before our unveiling of the Championship Banners.
