LONGEST FAN AWARD PRESENTED TO TONKA

LONGEST FAN AWARD PRESENTED TO TONKA

The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms sponsored by Evolve Technologies are delighted to be awarding another fan for their commitment to Peterborough Hockey.

Tonight we will be applauding Graham Tompkins AKA Tonka, who has not only been an avid fan of the sport but also a player. Tonka was and still is a popular player, playing for many of the recreational teams in Peterborough which included him being coached by the legendary NHL Iron Man Garry Unger in 1986/87. In 1990/91 Tonka got the call up for the Pirates to replace Rocky Saganiuk in a one-off challenge game, which I am sure is one of his all-time memories of his time with Peterborough Hockey.

Tonka, has been part of the furniture (or should I say the boards behind the goal) for many years, following and supporting the team through thick and thin and tonight at the Phantoms game against MK Thunder, we will be showing our thanks and gratitude. So please join us for the start of the game, 7PM, Planet Ice Peterborough.
