The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms sponsored by Evolve Technologies would like to say how saddened we are to hear the news of a fellow player within our league, has been injured with career-ending injuries.

The news came out Monday morning that after a league fixture against London Raiders the night before had resulted in Bowers needing urgent medical attention to his eye after receiving an accidental high stick. Bowers has since received surgery on his eye with the outcome meaning he will endure many more operations in the future and told he will only regain 10-20% of his vision in his right eye.

In times like these, it doesn’t matter what jersey you pull on or team you support, we are a hockey family who comes together in times of crisis. Ross and his family will be in a state of shock at the adjustments Ross will need to make to his life and although money can’t change the loss of his sight it will go a long way to relieve the pressure of not being able to work and still pay the bills.

Tomorrow at our game against Bracknell Bees PhanForce (the Phantoms Supporters Club) will be collecting funds to send to Ross and his family, so please do look out for them and give whatever you can.

If you would rather please donate via to the Go Fund Me Page

On behalf of all of the Phantoms organisation, PhanForce and fans, we send support and best wishes to Ross and his family.
