CATS CLAIM COMFORTABLE VICTORY OVER THE PHANTOMS

Swindon Wildcats 5-0 Peterborough Phantoms

It was a poor night at the office for the Peterborough DALROD Phantoms as the Swindon Wildcats claimed a comfortable win at the Link Centre.

Swindon took the lead with 14:42 on the clock after former Phantom Eddie Bebris found a way past Jordan Marr.

Aaron Nell had the chance to double the lead, but J.Marr was equal to his effort.

Poland International Tomasz Malasinski put the Cats 2-0 up with a short-handed goal, with 37:41 played in the game.

Ales Padelek then tested Renny Marr, but the Cats goalie made the stop and the Phantoms’ frustrating night continued.

Floyd Taylor put daylight between the sides with just over ten minutes left, before Chris Jones struck on the power play to put his team four goals ahead.

Malasinski completed the scoring with his second goal of the night.

It could have been six just moments later but for the heroics of J.Marr. The Cats were awarded a penalty shot when Glenn Billing tripped Jones. Jones took the shot but J.Marr held firm.

Will Weldon and Neil Liddiard dropped the gloves with 36 seconds to play in the third period.
