Our owners, Jo and Dave Lane, would like to release the following statement.

As a club, we’re disappointed that the season ended the way it did, but we do fully understand the reasoning and acknowledge that hockey is secondary to everyone’s health.

We had one remaining home league game which was due to be this Sunday (22nd March) and as previously confirmed, this game will not be going ahead.

Since we learned this news, we’ve been working hard to ensure our non-Peterborough/British based players could return home to be with their loved ones for the summer. Some of the players are safely home, whilst others will hopefully be making their way home in the coming days.

We know there will be many fans with questions regarding season tickets, own and loan jersey collections and other hockey related enquiries. We will endeavour to give you these responses as soon as we possibly can.

On the subject of season tickets: we don’t want our season ticket holders to miss out. So, we will be crediting all 2019/20 season ticket holders with one free game when the season starts again, whether they renew their season ticket or not.

We’re beginning to look into ways of making this happen and we will update you all once we have more information.

Whenever we have more information about season tickets, awards night, jersey collections and next season, we will be transparent and communicate this with you all. Slava is working hard to build his team for next season and we look forward to welcoming you all back for the 2020/21 season.

Until then, stay safe, take care of yourselves and each other. Follow the guidelines set out by the government and have a fantastic summer.

Go Phantoms!
